Thomas McLachlan

Thomas is an associate in Reed Pope’s Land Development law group. He assists clients with many aspects of real estate development and finance including phased strata developments, commercial leasing and compliance with the Real Estate Development Act, the Real Estate Services Act, and the Strata Property Act.

His practice also includes all aspects of construction law including builders lien claims, construction contracts and green building (sustainable design). Thomas gained experience in the construction industry as a soil technician, plumber’s assistant, and carpenter’s apprentice prior to practicing law.

Before joining Reed Pope, Thomas articled at a boutique law firm in downtown Vancouver specializing in construction litigation where he represented clients in British Columbia’s Provincial and Supreme Court.

Thomas enjoys spending his free time playing music, exploring British Columbia’s backcountry and running with his dog McGee.
