Brandon Deans* is a member of the firm’s Business Law Group, where he advises founders, entrepreneurs, business owners, investors and companies on key transactional milestones and ongoing legal needs throughout the business lifecycle, including:

  • Company formation and structuring
  • Capital raising transactions
  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Equity compensation and shareholder matters
  • Corporate governance and securities law compliance

Brandon serves as a transaction advisor and external general counsel to clients across a variety of industries and stages of growth. While maintaining a broad corporate practice, he has particular experience advising start-ups and emerging technology companies from inception through financing, growth and exit.

Brandon also advises public and private companies on securities law matters, including regulatory compliance, stock exchange listings and capital markets transactions.

Brandon has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada as “One to Watch” for five consecutive years, most recently for his work in Mergers and Acquisitions Law, Securities Law and Technology Law.

In addition to his legal practice, Brandon is also the Principal & Founder of McNeill Bay Growth Partners, a boutique strategic and transaction advisory firm focused on supporting private and public growth companies through formation, capital raising, strategic growth and exit.

Prior to joining Reed Pope, Brandon practiced law in Vancouver with leading national and boutique firms, focusing on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities law and technology transactions.

Outside of the office, Brandon enjoys following the NBA and traveling with his family.
