Makayla Helen Scharf is a litigator and solicitor, and Associate Counsel at Reed Pope Law Corporation. Practicing in family law, wills and estates, residential tenancy, and general civil litigation, she brings a comprehensive, practical approach to solving and planning to avoid disputes. Prioritizing cost-effective strategy and creative problem-solving, she helps her clients:

Before joining Reed Pope Law Corporation, Makayla practiced law at private civil litigation firms, with the British Columbia Financial Services Authority, and with The Law Centre, a pro bono legal clinic run by the University of Victoria. She received training and experience in alternative dispute resolution and trauma-informed practice, as well as drafting and courtroom advocacy.

Makayla is born and raised on the Island. She grew up and can be regularly found in the town of Sooke and CRD of East Sooke, the traditional territories of the T’Sou-ke First Nation and Scia’new (Beecher Bay) First Nation. When she is not at her desk, she will have her nose in a book, a kayak paddle in the water, or be watching a theatre production.
